Clinical psychology

All of our health insurance policies (except DKV Top Health) include psychotherapy sessions for patients who are referred by a psychiatrist or paediatrician, up to a limit of 15 sessions per policyholder per calendar year.

Pathologies:

  • Psychiatric illnesses: depression, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders.
  • Conduct disorders: neurosis, anxiety, personality and obsessive compulsive disorders.
  • Eating disorders: anorexia and bulimia.
  • Sleeping disorders: enuresis, insomnia, sleepwalking and night terrors.
  • Adaptation disorders: work-related stress, post-traumatic stress, grief, divorce, adolescence, post-holiday syndrome, etc.
  • Learning disorders: hyperactivity and academic failure.
  • How to obtain it?

With medical team insurance: the insured party needs a prescription from a psychiatrist or authorised paediatrician, the authorisation of DKV and a co-payment of €9 per session.

With DKV Mundisalud and DKV Residentes:

The insured party can choose between a psychologist included in the DKV Health Services Network (with the company's prescription and authorisation), or a psychologist outside the DKV medical team (except in the case of DKV Mundisalud Combinado), and request the percentage refund corresponding to the type of insurance contracted, with a maximum indemnity of €25 per session.

In the event that the clinical psychology policy's coverage is used up, the insured party can continue to access this service and benefit from significant discounts through certified DKV Network psychologists.
